Same problem here. I can access the National Lottery website no problem if I switch to my mobile hotspot (Three UK).

Likewise, all weekend (since Friday when I first tried). I have just now successfully connected, though.
No other sites I've accessed have been affected. #
Annoying for the lost time.

Re: National Lottery Website.

Lets get one thing straight:
This is NOT Plusnet's fault.
They are giving you an IP address which is correctly identified as being in the UK. The organisation at fault is the National Lottery who, in spite of being contacted several times, are using an out of date geo-location lookup.

Re: National Lottery Website.

This isn't the same as before though - you cannot even connect to the NL site (i.e. it won't load) on the new network.
Even with my foreign VPNs, I can access/connect to the NL site.

Re: National Lottery Website.

Hmmm... missed that - point taken.
In that case one might expect other sites to be inaccessible via the new network.

Yes there are two different things here, one is accessing the site which you should be able to do wherever you are in the world.
The other which IS more geographical, is whether you can actually play or not. This is being in the UK dependant.
@allegoricus, You must of struck lucky! Still not working here.

Ehh...
I've been using the 146 infonet addreses for a year which a lot of places identify as being in the US and I've not had an issue with the lottery site at all. The fault is either with plusnet or whoever they peer with Smiley

When I use my Three MiFi (whose gateway is, I think, in Belgium), I get connected to the NL site OK, but get challenged to verify that I'm in the UK  when I log in..
I'm never unable to connect to the site via Three.
Anyway, things appear to be OK now and, FWIW, I only came here after the event, seeking an explanation.

Re: National Lottery Website.

Well that was a non-event!
Finally heard from Camelot about the P/N access issue I contacted them about.
Basically they said they are aware of it, then get this: suggested I reboot my router!
I've done that more times than I have had hot dinners lately to try & get a decent ip address.
"We are aware that some PlusNet users are experiencing issues accessing The National Lottery Website. We are investigating this but in the meantime a reboot of your router may resolve the issue".

Re: National Lottery Website.

They are looking in to it as the problem is on their side, not ours.
We've been told it'll be fixed within the next few days so that's all we can really pass on at the moment.

Just logged on to see if there was anyone else getting this problem with the national lottery website.  Please to see that it is being worked on and will be resolved soon.  On the plus side I get exercise walking down to put my ticket on  Wink
