@Gandalf

Thanks for the update - the wait goes on. If I've read the engineers notes correctly OpenReach have yet to start stocking the "connectorised" ONT's for frontline use!!!

The first part of the notes is wrong. I was present all day (as was my neighbour) and no engineer showed up.

I think that first sentence was part of the standard checklist they'd fill out. I trimmed most of the checklist before pasting it to the ticket but it looks like I didn't trim all the checklist. The actual engineer notes are the important bit.

Sorry for the engineer no-show.

Aye. Fingers crossed the stores are replenished soon.

@Gandalf

Next update is due today so here's hoping for good news!!!

Thanks for the explanation of the engineers notes. I suspect the one piece of news a customer doesn't want to see is they're recorded as "not present" when they were!!!!!!!!!

FYI "Pammy" is a neighbour on the same UG chamber.

Hi Pam. I think we've updated your ticket. If you can reply with the requested info we'll start your order.

FYI "Pammy" is a neighbour on the same UG chamber.

Fingers crossed she doesn't encounter the same problems...

Re: Kingswells FTTP

We've got good news!

Our suppliers advised the equipment is back in stock for your neighbour [159288196], but we hadn't received the same back for your own order.

So after a couple of calls to Openreach, and the agent discussing this with the operations manager, they've made the relevant equipment spare for your order too.

We're now in a place to book the appointment. Ideally we wanted both of the installations to be on the same day, but provisionally we haven't been able to achieve that.

I've provided the dates to the relevant tickets on yours/your neighbours accounts. The agent I spoke to has advised me he's going to keep an eye on the orders and when the appointments progress through the system he'll try to expedite it.

We should know more by next Tuesday. I've also kept both the tickets in my pool so I can keep an eye on this too.

Almost there!

Re: Kingswells FTTP

Yay! I've just seen and picked up your ticket now.

Apologies for the delay in getting our side done, I was out of the office yesterday.

Let us know how your speeds look now? Cheesy

Re: Kingswells FTTP

@Gandalf

After disconnecting / re-connecting the Hub One I'm getting 37.97 down, 2.00 up and a ping of 27.

Funnily enough I was getting a consistent ping of 19 yesterday after the install as opposed to around 45 - 50 on the ADSL service.

All in all a happy bunny (at the second attempt!!!). Just my two neighbours to go now.

I'll get the support ticket closed off.

Thanks

Brian

Shouldn't that now be 9.5 up
