Hi,
One of my friend is interested in joining FTTC trial. When he checked the availability on the ADSL checker, he got the below result :-
Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 31st March 2011. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 29.9Mbps and upstream line speed of 6.8Mbps.
Does this mean FTTC is currently available for his line? if he switches to plusnet, can he be included for the trial?
thanks,
Maneesh

Sorry - but I think he will be too late.
The date is only a place holder I believe - it means that there is no definate activation date - it could happen much later than March31st.
I could be wrong, but reading/searching around this forum, it seems that unless it is something other than 31st March/30th June/30 Sept/31 Dec it is not a fixed date.
