Internal cabling issue

Last Monday an engineer visited to upgrade our service to full fibre, but he only had black internal cabling - which didn't match the colour of the walls. Was told to contact Plusnet to change the colour of the cabling. Arranged a new appointment date, and just contacted customer support to confirm the colour of the internal cabling - but was told that it isn't something they do.

Question is: what internal cabling does the engineer use? I assume it is standard ethernet?  Does anyone know? Thanks.

@christeague73

Are we talking about the fibre cable to the ONT from outside ? or cable from the ONT to the router ?

@christeague73

It is fibre optic cable to the ONT and then ethernet from the ONT to the router.

If th ONT is installed at a different point from the cable house entry then they strip back the outer cable to leave the fibre with a protective sleeve. Once the following gets past moderation you'll see my fibre cable entry. The outer protective layer was black.
