I have just signed up for the FTTC trial on a month by month contract. I currently use a DG834G for our ADSL but I am guessing this will not be of any use. When BT come will they bring the modem and then I just need to provide a wireless router to plug into the modem? (I use wireless on all PC's in the house, no cables).

Once your green cabinet has FTTC activated to the exchange, BT Openreach will activate the FTTC connection on your line in the green cabinet and fit the VDSL modem at home next to the master socket. PlusNet will supply a suitable PPPoE router prior to you going live. The BT Openreach engineer will connect both and check your connection works.
You can't use your existing router once the FTTC connection goes live and it will require BT Openreach to re-visit to revert you to ADSL should you want to.
