@Clitherow Which router is it? A Hub2 presumably, and it should have an ethernet cable with it.

The cat5e cable is the 'red-ended' one - it appears that they have run out of the coloured ones. The red ends were/are merely to make it more obvios which you inserted into the WAN port.

@Clitherow Welcome to the Plusnet Community Fora.
Unfortunately, it looks like you have been sent the wrong packaged version of the Hub. The FTTC versions are shipped with a DSL cable plus a yellow ended Ethernet cable, The FTTP versions come with no DSL cable but two Ethernet cables, one yellow ended, the other red. As @jab1 states, the cables are identical apart from the colour of the plugs.
Any CAT 5e or better Ethernet cable can be used.

either that or @Clitherow s order is for Fibre and not Full Fibre ?
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
