Getting emails from PN about getting Full Fibre, at present i am on Fibre to Cabinet about 22mb and still have landline,
I live in a private unadopted road the cables come by pylons and then underground from pylon out front across driveway then thro wall to master socket.
Router is in another room in phone socket, connected to desktop computer by ethernet cable
also have my HIVE heating connected to router , using splitters on all phones etc
House only 25yrs old, had open reach in years ago engineer Tut Tutted and said Bell wire internally?
How would I get fibre cable to my premises ? Simple language please not techy thanks
Ken
Fixed! Go to the fix.

If you can post a screen image from the following it would be of help. Hide any personal details and include the narrative below the results window.

@kenm The fibre cable will follow the same route as your current cabling.

Start by putting your address into the BTwholesale checker https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressFeatureProduct
Post the results , redacting any personal details such as the actual address
Of particular use is the narrative below the availability matrix which will say something like
Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:-Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed with no anticipated issues.

The only thing 'strange' there is the 'joint user pole', but it should not cause any issues, as I imagine OR will have an agreement in place.

Yes, there's no mention of 'partial u/g' and its a 1-Stage install, so I would guess they expect to route the fibre straight from the pole, anchor to the eaves and run down to a CSP at ground level and then to the ONT on the inside opposite the CSP

YES the 2 houses on the plot built together but detached
cables under drive into each property
but maintenance of services into the dwellings is covered by covenants in land registry
perhaps connect to house from pole above ground ?

Thanks for the information.
As others have said there does not appear to be any potential problems with the install. The backbone network installers do a visual check and note if they spot anything that might cause a problem.
You'll only find out on the day when you speak to the engineer before they do any work.

Do you get an open reach survey as such before you sign up for FF
Would need to chat with neighbour as its shared drive and they have 4 cars their side
I think they have Sky for everything
All depends were the underground cable run as the pylon is on end of neighbors property.
the last 2 houses in road also come of our pylon all overhead

Not if it is described as a '1 stage' installation, no.

cables under drive into each property
Unless there's existing trunking (which is unlikely otherwise the checker would have identified it) then I can't see the existing u/g route being used. Unless there a line-of-sight problem (which again the checker would have identified) then the fibre will go direct o/h to the property.

What is 1 stage inst
you mentioned earlier cable would follow existing route
does that mean I would get a complete new fibre cable from cabinet into my house
completly get rid of the old existing copper cable thats been there years

You speak to the engineer on the day to confirm the works to be done.
At this stage we must assume they is a duct under the driveway which splits to servce each house. So long as it is clear then there should be no problem. If it's blocked then the engineer won't be able to do the job and will speak to you about it.
Where the copper cable currently comes out of the ground is the starting point for the fibre cable coming into your house. There is a bit of lee way as the where the internal ONT goes if you want to change location but this comes down to the desirable against the possible. The ONT must be within one meter of a power source. The router is connected via ethernet cable so can go anywhere you're happy to run said cable.
