Full Fibre offer

Was offered full fibre via email, which I took, Openreach engineer came round asked if I wanted the cable run along the wall of my drive and I said I’d prefer it under the drive he said ok no problem a few days later I received a notification from plusnet saying it will cost nearly £900 pounds, at no point was it explained to me that I would incur this cost and when I looked at the deal offered it said no activation fees, plusnet rang me and could not explain if it was because I wanted the cable under the drive that I incurred this cost or that if I had it along the wall it would be cheaper she said it made no difference anyway I cancelled and she then past me onto customer service who then tried to switch me to EE and sell me EE mobile contract I refused, I’m know getting emails from plusnet telling me good news full fibre is in your area, neglecting to say at a cost, anyone else had this same experience?

Re: Full Fibre offer

Then I don't understand the issue, unless  it is Direct In Ground, which Full Fibre cables cannot be.

The exchange is not in a current fibre priority programme

As a WLR withdrawal exchange, product restrictions apply

SOADSL is not restricted at the exchange

For all ADSL and WBC Fibre to the Cabinet (VDSL or G.fast) services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.

For all SOADSL services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.

Actual speeds experienced by end users and quoted by CPs will be lower due to a number of factors within and external to BT's network, Communication Providers' networks and within customer premises.

In order to be eligible for handback, downstream speed should be less than Downstream Handback Threshold values.

If you decide to place an order for a WBC fibre product, an appointment may be required for an engineer to visit the end user's premises to supply the service

ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL availability: If shown at FTTP or SOGEA premises,ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL are not available to order due to WLR Withdrawal stop sell rules. CPs should order FTTP or SOGEA. Copper products are only available by exception

That could well be the issue. Sounds like Openreach have quoted ECCs(Excess construction costs) to dig the drive and put in trunking. Openreach are supposed to cover the first £2600 to £3400 of any costs though!

@Robin6 how long is the drive and what's the construction ?

edit: posts crossed. That availability matrix shows FTTP not available ONLY FTTP On Demand which explains the cost ?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
