I had fttc installed on thursday and all was great, typically getting around 37/8 speeds until friday evening when the download dropped to between 6 and 7 while the upload stayed the same. Its been that way ever since. Rebooting router and BT box made no difference.
I know officially there is a 10 day training period but am I missing something?

Check your PN profile at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed - it should be set to either 20Mb or 37Mb (probably the latter now).
There have been a few reports of gremlins changing the profile after it has been set occasionally so that would be the prime suspect I think - if it is wrong raise a ticket or post here and someone will get it updated.
If the PN profile looks good then try doing a BT speedtest and checking the profile there.

Thanks,
It now lists Current line speed as 7.15 Mb so I've raised a ticket 40562547.
