FTTP download at ADSL speed

Hi,

I realise this is a common question, but just had my FTTP installed and download speed is same as it was on ADSL (~11Mbps) but upload has zipped up to 20Mb from ~0.8Mbps.  Could @Gandalf wave his magic staff and flick my connection over to ~80 that I signed up for?

many thanks,

Silverfoot

Sorry to hear that.

Leave it with me and I'll get this corrected.

This should now be fixed.

Re: FTTP download at ADSL speed

thanks, that seems to have done the trick Smiley - rebooted and now getting around 35Mb/20Mb down/up, guessing the down will settle (higher!) over the next few days.

[edit]

and now around ~72 when close enough to the router. Nice. Now just need to sort the wi-fi signal round the house, which on the slower connection were never an issue Wink

Re: FTTP download at ADSL speed

It should be higher than that as you're on the 80/20 package and that's what we've provisioned you on. There's no training period as there's no sync speeds on FTTP (It either works or doesn't as shown in the in-depth testing below :D)

Test Outcome Pass
Test Outcome Code GTC_FTTP_SERVICE_0000
Description No Fault in FTTP Service
Main Fault Location OK
Sync Status Up
Appointment Required N
Fault Report Advised N

Are you testing over a wired or wireless connection?

Re: FTTP download at ADSL speed

its the wifi, as per edit, getting around 72+ if in same room as router - main PC further away, so getting wifi fall-off effect. Will sort that by other means, thanks for the help.
