FTTC using Belkin F5D8635-4

I got FTTC installed and work great with WNR1000. Now, I got my own router (Belkin in F5D8635-4) which support PPPoE. I try to connect it to the BT modem, it will not work. I have some doubts if the Belkin F5D8635-4 is configured correctly. In the configuration page, it ask for VPI/VCI=0/38, Encapsulation=VC-MUX, MTU =1432.
Can someone confirm these values for FTTC trial?

The F5D8635-4 is a combined modem/router, it's not going to work with FTTC I'm afraid since it needs to connect via Ethernet  to the BT supplied modem. You need a router with an ethernet WAN port ( cable router ) to work on FTTC.

PPPoE over an ethernet WAN port will not need VPI/VCI and Encapsulation as those are things used by an ADSL modem.
You should check your router to make sure it has an ethernet WAN port and not a built in ADSL modem, as the latter type will not work!

You may have been confused by the terminology describing the router - it says it has 1 x RJ-11 ADSL WAN. While a WAN port is what you are looking for, in this case it is an RJ11 ADSL (i.e. phone line) port and not a proper RJ45 WAN port. Also it is possible to use PPPoE over a phone line, which may have also confused you into thinking this is suitable for FTTC.
This is a normal ADSL modem/router and not a cable/DSL WAN router which is what you need for FTTC. It will not work with FTTC.
