FTTC trial and old socket

Hello
I planning to apply for the FTTC trial when my exchange is enabled (end Sept).
I have a 22 year old BT socket at present which is accessible for inserting/removing plugs is otherwise inaccessible. Does this matter, or should I plan to make it full accessible for replacement?
Thanks
Dave

Re: FTTC trial and old socket

Hi Dave,
The engineer will need to get to the master socket to install FTTC, or at the very least get to the point where the line enters your property. They can replace the socket when they do the faceplate if it's an old socket although where it's located, or where they run the extension cable to will need a power socket nearby for the modem and the router.
