FTTC to day Router question

Hi..............BT visit this morning.....All went well but he had not seen a Netgear router WNR 1000v3.....He says that
Plusnet need to update my profine to get it working.....Can this be done please......Thanks.....Roger

Netgear should be fine - you need to authenticate using PPPoE
