I've got my FTTC swap booked for next week. I plan on using my own equipment into the BT VDSL modem (it supports PPPoE). Are there any issues I ought to be aware of? Also, I'm on a static IP. Does anyone know if I should be able to keep the same IP when I change over?
TIA

You need to watch out that your router has enough grunt to handle the throughput.
I have a router that can only manage 12Mbps (all wired) so it's not much use with a fibre connection.

My vigor 2820n works fine with it. Full speed on wired LAN. Nearly full speed on WLAN (11n), with a following wind
All the features of your package should remain unchanged.

I've actually got a Vigor 2920 for that reason
It should have enough grunt. It's replacing a Cisco 877. I'd have liked a Cisco but couldn't justify the cost of something with a fast enough backplane.
