Damaged Duct after Fibre install

Open reach had problems with a blocked duct when they installed the fibre, I dug down and found the crushed duct  and unblocked it.

They installed the fibre and it's all working but now, but they didn't fix the duct so I have a hole with the exposed fibre cable.

Should I cut some pipe to bridge the gap and fill it back up with sand, or somehow contact open reach to fix it properly?

Or I could just fill in the hole, but if they ever need to replace the fibre they would need to dig up again.

Greg

Re: Damaged Duct after Fibre install

As you exposed the duct, it will be up to you to fill in the hole.
Hopefully never to dig up again. How you fill it or cover the pipe is up to you.

OR will not have a job to say repair required

@gmulford

Having dug it all out it seems a bit churlish not to patch the duct before filling the hole back in.

Re: Damaged Duct after Fibre install

All fixed. Couldn't get the correct civils ducting so spilit some grey downpipe and cable tied it to the smaller size.

Cheers
