I seem to be having DNS issue again (Similar to the big issue a few months ago) - can't resolve URLs
Multiple devices, Hub two, Full fibre
Using google DNS 8.8.8.8 works
Thought I'd post in case others have an issue
Solved! Go to Solution.
same thing, I suggest you go to 1.1.1.1 - much faster browsing response times, I wont miss the native dns server
Same here. Just switched to Google's DNS and back up and running.
Yep same here, when are they are going to fix this properly?
Hub One router here, and no ability (that I can find) to change the DNS on the router itself, so I'm having to change it for every single device.
Changing your computers DNS setting has fixed the problem for me. Here's a link for those wanting to know how to do it:
This is the statement being put out:
"I'm sorry to hear your internet has gone down, we've been made aware of a mass outage that's currently being investigated as a priority. We don't have an estimated fix time but are working hard to get this resolved quickly for you. "
29K reports on downdetector - also 1K for BT
Not everyone will know how to change DNS - luckily Hub 2 allows it - cant understand why no fallback DNS when the effect is so widespread

Don't change DNS settings please.
Really? If I hadn't, I wouldn't be reading this post right now.
Is there an ETA on a fix? Failing that, is there any way for me to change the DNS on a Hub One router so that I don't have to do it manually for about 30 devices?

Both the primary and secondary DNS on my HubOne are unresponsive. The fallback fell down too.
Unfortunately when you're working from home that's not a useful answer. It went down a month ago for a short while, this time it's down for much longer. There is nothing wrong with people changing their DNS settings, either at the router level or on each device, it can always be put back, however as others have said when this happens frequently you can't expect people to wait for a fix.
Also why are you asking people not to change their DNS settings? What are you doing on your DNS servers that are different to Google and/or other free DNS providers?
