Hi currently taking part in the fiber80/20 trials and waiting for the new router to arrive but i seem to have been sent a technicolor tg582 in error instead of the ZyXEL NGB4604.

That believe it or not
is the latest test modem.
You need to use lan port 4 to connect to the openreach modem.
There are some instructions on or around page 70 to 72 on the big trials topic at the top of this forum.

We're currently using the 582n router for the 80/20 trial. You'll need to plug the ethernet lead from the modem into LAN port 4 on the back of the router.
- Log in to the router using 192.168.1.254 (the username is admin and the password is the serial number)
- Click on Internet services (this link will take you there http://192.168.1.254/cgi/...mp;l1=2&name=Internet )
- Put in your broadband username and password (remembering to put @plusdsl.net after the username)
- Press connect
