Hi........So far no problem with mine here......BT on fitting said must be mounted on a wall, maybe a heatsink idea.....It does
run warm but not hot.....Not had summer yet so maybe will increase when it comes......The Netgear router runs colder than
my first one a few years ago.......So far FTTC has been very good 37 Mb down and 8 Mb's up.....Pleased to see Plusnet have
increased my limit to 120Gb.......At 60Gb I was just over some months.....Yes the cost is up with FTTC but you get what you
pay for.....
Regards
Roger

Could be a bad network cable.. have you tried another cable.
Some BT modems do get very hot and stop working. Maybe you have one that suffers this... mounting on the wall may improve heat dissipation and make it more reliable.
