Am I eligible?

So I'd love to be part of the FTTP trial. I currently have plusnet FTTC but I am right on the edge of what's viable - 3km out so I only get about 12mbit/s download and 1mbit/s upload. The underground ducting comes right up the edge of my property and then up the pole outside my garden wall - so my install would be easier than most! Wink

Only thing is, i'm not sue if i'm eligible. BT's own pdf document says my exchange is enabled for FTTP on this document https://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super-fastfibreaccess/downloads/sffa_exchange_lists/a...

Is this what I need to be eligible?

Re: Am I eligible?

What does the DSL Checker say?

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

You need "WBC FTTP" in the left hand column - not FTTP on Demand

Re: Am I eligible?

To be eligible you need to see WBC FTTP in the DSL Checker, NOT FTTPoD.

Re: Am I eligible?

I'm afraid the DSL Checker doesn't show WBC FTTP (nor FoD)

Is this the only criteria that's needed for eligibility? Is there a way of keeping track of which cabinets get upgraded to support FTTP (since the exchange does?)

Yes that is the only criteria.

And FTTP isn't linked to the cabinets so that isn't a guide to the product availability either.

You need to find out which local council backed scheme is available in your area and ask them about their plans for FTTP for your area.

Re: Am I eligible?

You could try the following to see if there's any plans for your address.

https://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/index.do

Also, look to see if there's a BDUK Superfast project for your area. If there is have a look.
