Broadband Plus Limits

I understand that you apply 'traffic management' aka 'speed limitations' on the 'Broadband Plus' service during peak hours. I was wondering what the average download rates usually are with these limits applied? I am considering signing up for the Broadband Plus 2MB service. I think I read on ADSLGuide somewhere that the average P2P download rates during peak hours is 20Kb. What kind of rates can I expect when downloading P2P files during peak hours?

Hi there,

Its hard to give a definative answer to that, as it depends on how busy the network is at the time.

Whilst P2P apps are never an ideal way to judge speed due to the number of variables, some users have reported quite slow download speeds at times but 10kbps seems to be an average. Off peak speeds can be much better than the reported 20kbps.

If you rely on P2P I would suggest that BB+ is not for you. This product is primarily for general surfing and email and browsing, http and email are given priority.
