Unlimited package?

Hi, I have already exceeded my limit twice.
Could you please tell me when an unlimited package will be available, as 60GB is just not enough.
Cheers, Rob

Re: Unlimited package?

Business Option 3 is the currently only available package that Plusnet do that is unlimited, however, be aware if you were to migrate to that package there are a number of gotchas.
The quoted prices are actually quite a bit cheaper than what you end up with.
They don't allow you to continue with a residential phone service (if you have your phone with Plusnet)
It's a minimum contract period
On the plus side
A proper 0114 number to call, not 0845
Prioritised customer service for business customers
Enhanced SLA for services
Free VoIP (480 minutes a month)

Re: Unlimited package?

Was just hoping PT were going to release a normal unlimited package, so I can keep my 30meg download.  I have to try ringing up.

Re: Unlimited package?

It's stated at 8mb because its ADSL2 solution, but if you had that package on FTTC it wouldnt be limited to 8mb.
And its not especially throttled in the evening, but as with all Plusnet products its throttled throughout.

Quote
ADSL2 and ADSL2+ offer even faster connections than regular ADSL broadband. Users of this technology can expect download speeds of up to 24Mb and upload speeds of up to 1Mb, depending on the distance of one’s connection from the exchange.

Re: Unlimited package?

Well, either way, the speed limitation was/is a technological one.
Business Option 3 if ordered new would come with 8mb speed limit because it would be implemented on hardware that supported upto 8mbs.
If however you are running FTTP or FTTC or indeed have switched from Extra to Option 3, you get whatever your link provides.
