Here's a little photo of my nice and shiny cab with it's G.fast pod

I currently max out an 80/20 line and would love to see what it could do Smiley

The fibre twin is not in the picture, it's around the corner Cheesy

Fibre twin? So you're saying there's two fibre cabs? Connected to your local cabinet

@Manny7860

Every fibre cabinet has a "twin" - the original phone cabinet. The FTTC cab must be within 100m of it.

Re: Todays News from BT

@Browni Have you actually seen inside the extension, as my cab also had one done but already has twisted pairs running into it. But as yet G.fast isn't showing on the system!

Cheers

David.

Re: Todays News from BT

It looks like a ECI cab next to an existing PCP

PN, where did it all go wrong ?

@Browni @harrow

Unfortunately until you know whats in the box....dead or alive!

So an extension box on the side of the CAB could be G.force or it could be a new rack of copper phone lines.

That's why I prefer to check. So if you spot it open then a nice little photo would be good. Wink

Re: Todays News from BT

It looks nothing like an ECI cab and if you compare it to the image here and also consider my area was recently added to the G.fast trial area I'm fairly certain of what it is.

Yes you are right, I saw the grill on the front, I later noticed the extra slab behind the grill.

PN, where did it all go wrong ?

Re: Todays News from BT

@Browni Hadn't picked up on the difference between the two. Sorry, will have to check mine to see if it's this type.
