Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi,

Thanks for that, just checked uk one and there is duct repair work planned on next street along but nothing for mine yet.

Will wait for an update on ticket, i assume there isnt just our resident wizard working on FTTP?

Thanks

Matt

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Did the advisory mention your house number? I'm guessing the works will last one day (at most) but they've given themselves a 3 day window just in case. If about you could confirm the duct is cleared (or will be clear) when they finish.

OR are legally required to give advance notice of works which may impact traffic so I always suspect a bit of "padding" on the timeframe.

The wizard does indeed have colleagues who are trained up in FTTP matters but I believe they are few in number. However, at this time I don't think they would be able to tell you anything more than you already "know" - street works are planned for next week.

Thanks Brian,

My partner will be about and checking in with them.
It does state outside number 29 which is my house number. Starting to get hopeful. Again...

Annoyingly Roadworks.org is now showing 11th June as a start date for the work, i did think it strange when nothing was done yesterday

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Matt.

Apologies for the delayed response from us on your ticket. I've just contacted Openreach and they've advised that the external work is due to be completed by Thursday.

From there we should be able to arrange another appointment for the internal work.

However, due to the continued delays and the previously failed commitments, I've raised an escalation with our direct suppliers BT Wholesale, which may help speed things along.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Gandalf,

Just wanted to let you know absolutely no external works have been done up now outside the house.
Pavement and block paving still all marked up but nothing changed.

Assuming they have moved to Monday next week with the roadworks.org report.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Matt. I've spoken to an Openreach team manager and I've been advised that they don't have an update yet from their contractors on the external work, so they've chased this up through the channels they have available to them and found out that the external work is now due to be completed by the 12th June. Looks kind of in line with what you're seeing too.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Well after a little faffing around the ducting was finally repaired yesterday with a new run installed under the grass!
Hopefully we can crack on with the actual install now?

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Well thats another day off work wasted.

They are struggling with the length to the connection point now with it being a 62m run. The guys who came said the ones who did the digging for ducting across our front garden should have sorted from the grate at the bottom of drive to the connection point too. Despite much trying they have been unable to make the run.

No doubt another month wait for it to be sorted again Sad

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Really sorry this is still going on @Mattybully

We are awaiting the notes to be send from the engineers to our supplier and then to get updated so we can see what the next step is going to be. There is nothing there yet, i'll check again in a little while and make sure my team have the order reference so we can keep an eye on it until the info gets to us.

Thanks

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Thank you for the prompt response.

The guy has been sat on the drive for the last 10 minute in his van on the laptop so can only assume that’s what he’s doing now.

One day. Somehow we will get a completed install.. and then the wife will want to move
