Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Matt.

Unfortunately we've not heard back so I'm chasing this up now.

EDIT: I've been advised by the FTTP team that the e-mail they sent previously was to the wrong team, so I'm afraid nothing seems to have happened yet. A member of their application support group (ASG) team should be manually raising a task now with the planning team for an update on the external works. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delays.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Matt.

I've discussed this with Openreach and they've advised me that an engineer has been out last Wednesday, advising that the ducts are still blocked and has once again passed this back to the planning team.

Unfortunately I've been advised they've not received an update from the planners yet and to review this on Thursday.

Please accept my apologies for the continued delays. I do appreciate it feels like we're going round in circles here.

Hi Gandalf,

Just wondering if there was any further update after the Dig and duct team have been out?

Thanks

Matt

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Matt.

I've discussed this with our suppliers and they've advised it doesn't look like the dig team have gone out.

They're chasing this up and we should know more by the 16th.

Sorry again for the delays.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Gandalf,

Thank you for the update, seems like this one is going slower than my current ADSL line..

I do keep having BT contact me about taking their own FTTP services, you dont think thats what is slowing this down do you? Their pricing has been keen and their contact regular

Re: Ticket number 164004507

No problems.

I do keep having BT contact me about taking their own FTTP services, you dont think thats what is slowing this down do you?

That's unlikely as it'd be the retail side of BT who'd be contacting you as opposed to the wholesalers.

Fingers crossed next week brings us forward a bit quicker.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Fingers crossed as it’s really starting to hold up other home projects now.
Don’t want to redecorate the living Room until we have a clean install and I can tuck any cabling away and also holding up our spare bedroom where the main phone line currently comes in as I can get rid of a load of cabling up there!
Is there a contact at openreach I could maybe speak with to move it along, or will they not speak with me as they are your contractor?

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hopefully we gain some traction next week.

Unfortunately I don't think there's anyone within Openreach you can contact about an existing order as they'd generally only speak to ISP's like ourselves I'm afraid.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

A team have just been out and done some measuring to front of house etc and now left.

My wife has checked and cant see anything laid to house as such.. Not sure if they have updated your side?

Sounds like something may be happening.

We've not received any updates but I'll give the FTTP team a ring tomorrow when they're in.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Matt.

Just rung them now.

Looks like the ducts are still blocked and they're trying to resolve this still.

We've been advised to check back on Friday for an update.

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Gandalf

Is there any further update today? Drive is still marked up from last week and doesn’t seem to have been any work outside this week?

Thanks

Re: Ticket number 164004507

Hi Gandalf,

Just to let you know no further works over the bank holiday weekend or any letter in regards to them doing any works either on my property or on the street?

I am becoming a little concerned about the markings on my block paving and if this will be returned to original condition if they take it up?

Thanks

Matt

Re: Ticket number 164004507

@Mattybully

Have you looked online for a "street works" advisory website to see if there's anything on the horizon. I could give you the Scottish one if that's any help.

Last time I checked my location OpenReach had 4 advisories in place for work outside houses.

I believe a certain wizard in on leave until the 7th
