Hi,
What profile is set for your line on the Plusnet side? https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
You should be on a 37000 plusnet profile to get full speed of your line.

Re: Speed down from 30+mb to a steady 8mb down

FYI: I'm not convinced about that figure on the 'high speed broadband' page, since mine has been stuck at 20k since FTTC install but my rate is 37k and the BT test agrees that the profile is 37k (ish). I thought I read that the 'stuck at 20k' issue was fixed.

Re: Speed down from 30+mb to a steady 8mb down

As you can see above this went through a BT line test connecting to BT servers, the line speed they report is "Max Achievable Speed 27318 Kbps"  Download speed achieved during the test was - 7945 Kbps,  although the max speed I had was a steady 34000 Kbps
If memory serves my profile has also been set on 20k since FTTC Install.

Re: Speed down from 30+mb to a steady 8mb down

OK, Forget it, I am going to quit my day job and start digging holes, I have just found that I set QOS on the router and it was restricting the bandwidth Embarrassed however that means I am back up to full speed again  Cheesy
Thanks for the comments guys and lets leave it at that eh! lol
