Service outage every 24 hours?

Hello,
Could someone have a look at my FTTP logs - for several days now I seem to get an outage around 8-8.30pm each evening. Its normally only out for a few minutes but comes back quite slow and then back to full speed. At the moment I can't tell if it's a) a line issue, b) an openreach Fibre modem issue or c) a router issue.  The 'Thinkbroadband' checker shows it going down for longer but that's because for some reason my router keeps disabling ping when I power cycle it.
Thanks

Re: Service outage every 24 hours?

Our testing hasn't found a issue although with FTTP the tests are pretty much basic as it's meant to be flawless.
I've attached your connection graph below.

We're seeing drops although this could well be when your power cycling the router.
You could try making a direct connection to the ONT to see if it still happens. The guide below is for FTTC but the instructions are pretty much the same.

Re: Service outage every 24 hours?

Thanks for that. That seems to tie in with what Thinkbroadband is showing as well. Do you have the graph for 29/5/15 by any chance? I notice that it seems we were not connected until about 8.30pm on the 30th which fits in with what my staff told me while I was away (They claimed we had no internet until they rebooted the router at about 8,30 and I didn't believe them!) I'm suspecting the router is the likely culprit now...

Re: Service outage every 24 hours?

Ideal. I'll compare that to what we have at this end and I think that will give us a good idea of where the problem is. For reference, I assume that 'normally' the connection should always stay connected on FTTP rather than showing these disconnects? Also would these disconnects still show if (say) the router rebooted but the ONT remained connected OK?
Cheers

Re: Service outage every 24 hours?

We get a code back when the connection drops although it doesn't exactly tell us what caused the drop.
But yes the connection should always stay connected aside from maintenance (Normally 12am while 6am) or outages (Fairly rare on FTTP but does happen)
