Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

Hi,

I'm still only getting 2Mb/s upload speed.  I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but no change.

Thanks

Rob

Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

Fix

Hi Rob, sorry to hear you haven't seen the upgrade yet.
I've checked your account and seeing you're on our FTTP trial I can only think the update from 2->10Mbps upload was missed for your acocunt. I have manually placed the upgrade for your now and you should see the change by the end of tomorrow at very latest.

Kind regards,

@BD

Sorry to jump in on this thread but could you have a look at my account (and that of my neighbour). Originally posted on https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-To-The-Premises-trial/Kingswells-FTTP/td-p/1482333

My original ticket was 159286870 and my neighbour was 159288196

My upload speed has been a solid 2 since the service went live. My neighbour has faired slightly better in running around 3 up on WiFi.

Hey Brian. I've done that for you and your neighbour now.

Can you check back tomorrow?

Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

What is this trial all about. I have never in 20 years of staying with Plusnet got any more than 2.5 down and .5 up. If there is a fix for this why isn't everyone getting it?

OR why can't Plusnet offer equipment that would let us use our mobile phone signal instead of the antiquated copper wire connection that only gets worse. I am within spitting distance of the capital and the connection is awful. Always has been and looks like it always will. My son was told it would take a year to download and upgrade for a game he plays on line - that is when the online is not dropping out or buffering. No one here can watch Iplayer always told that there is not enough band width to view at this time'. Plusnet has never address this for me. No stars i'm afraid.

Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

@Gandalf

Sorted - just got 37.93 down and 9.61 up on a wired connection. My neighbour got 30.4 down and 7.3 up using her iPad.

Thanks

Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

@SEM

The FTTP Trial is for those PlusNet customers who can receive "WBC FTTP" - check the following to see what's available for your line

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

https://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/index.do

The upload speed boost is for those on a fibre product which previously were offered 38 down and 2 up. PlusNet changed this to 38 down and 10 up. This is based on the OpenReach wholesale product.

Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

It must be WBC FTTP in the left hand column not FTTP on Demand, a service far too expensive for Plusnet to provide.

Re: Not received upload speed increase yet

Do the DSL Checker results have a column headed FTTP Install Process which will have either "1 stage" or "2 stage" against WBC FTTP

I'm glad to hear that. Thumbs_Up

@SEM

I'm afraid it's only FTTP On Demand that's available for you.

Due to the very high cost of the service, this isn't something we offer.
