No problems. Looks like your new order is progressing down a similar path to the previous one.
But I can see one of my colleagues have contacted our suppliers to link the two orders together.
So we should know more by the end of the week.

its all gone quiet, i have a fibre coiled outside the front door ready to go inside the house. Im told BT are investigating a solution to my installation and will be updated by 02/02/18. This seems like a pretty big delay considering its supposedly ready for stage 2.
Is this just an issue of engineer availabilty? I noticed BT were working on the node where it comes into the estate, they were working on it all day until about 20:00 in the evening.

I can see this dragging on for weeks now, I deal with BT and Openreach in a commercial capacity and I know if you're not on their backs on a daily basis they keep going round in circles endlessly following flawed processes.

It looks like things have moved forward today and our suppliers have booked an engineer visit for tomorrow morning.
Hopefully it goes smoothly and your FTTP service is activated.

Hi BT have fitted the fibre and connected the plus net hub. The hub says it is connected but I can't get Internet. Do you need to switch something over at your end?

I've noticed most people just get a reduced speed, mine isn't working at all. The router says connected and I can see the router has an IP address.

@Gandalf
My Adsl went down overnight but still not getting out on the fibre.
Nudge nudge, could do with this sorting today please, kids are gonna make my life a misery if we go into the weekend with no Internet. They might have to do stuff that doesn't involve a screen, a frightening prospect for them I'm sure. 😁

Has your router been correctly set up?
In case you're not aware it needs to be set up with a PPPoE connection using your PN login details.
Copied from this thread, quote:
A quick and easy way to test if your FTTP connection is actually 'live' is to set up a PPPoE connection on your computer and bypass the router completely, i.e. connect your computer NIC directly to LAN1 on the ONT with an Ethernet cable.
To set up said PPPoE connection, go to Windows Network and Sharing Centre, choose 'Setup a new connection or network' / 'Connect to the Internet' / 'Broadband (PPPoE)' then enter your credentials (not forgetting that your PN username is generally 'myaccountname@plusdsl.net')
Good luck!

I have set up pppoe on laptop and the connection fails with:
Error 1062
The service has not been started.
When I connect as normal through the router I can access Google and get search results. I can also go on YouTube but no videos will play. I can't find any other website that works (this site can't be reached)
I can ping Google dns 8.8.8.8
Any ideas?

Im using the new router sent out, looks like a plus net branded home hub 5.
The router connects using the username setup@plusdsl.net
It won't connect using my credentials but when using the defaults it reports it is connected to the Internet.
