Porting landline to VOIP and keeping FTTP

Hi all,
I've just sent off my forms to Sipgate to start the process to port my Plusnet landline to VOIP. I've requested a port date of 03/06/21. I see from previous posts that I need a kind person such as Gandalf or other Plusnet FTTP specialist to keep an eye on things so my FTTP doesn't automatically get shut off when my landline ceases. Could someone please contact me so we can do the necessary? Cheers!

Re: Porting landline to VOIP and keeping FTTP

Thanks for the heads up @Don4418

I'm happy to keep an eye on this for you and I'll make sure your FTTP remains active. Smiley

Once your phone line's ceased, you'll go onto the standard pricing of a broadband only package. For Unlimited Fibre Extra it'd be £25.87, and for Unlimited Fibre it's £20.87 (subject to the annual price increase)

Cheers

Hi, the Sipgate team have confirmed the porting will take place on 02/06/21, which is one day earlier than I told you before. Cheers, Don

Re: Porting landline to VOIP and keeping FTTP

Hi Gandalf, I've got a bit of a problem. Received an email yesterday acknowledging I had cancelled my account and Plusnet would be sorry to see me go. I haven't cancelled it! I called support and got passed around various departments, none of which were too sure what had gone wrong - the best guess being some system flag had come up which has triggered an account closure. I suspect it may be something to do with my landline having ceased. Anyway, they are trying to sort it out, but I'm still a bit worried in case they don't. I'm currently sailing in a yacht around Scotland and communication is a bit difficult. I wonder if it's possible you could have a look at your end and see if you can see anything wrong? Cheers, Don
