Re: I'm about to go

Everything what RealAleMadrid said, but it goes in the lan4/wan port. Also you have to reconfigure the network setting on the archer to pppoe and your pn user/pass

Re: I'm about to go

Hi RealAle,

I have connected the router via an ethernet cable, as you describe, with my PN username and password.

As for the instructions, I can't remember exactly what they are but there is the option to select PN VDSL (with user name and p/word) and I'm (almost) certain that a PPOE connection is selected as default with this VDSL config.

Other than that, I can't be any more specific. What I'll do later, is to go through the setup again and pay attention to the setup config.

It must be something silly I'm doing, or not, which is the issue as it all worked fine before the ONT.

Re: I'm about to go

Hi Krusty,

Yep I have my cable in the lan4/wan port.

I will check the PPPOE stting once everyone is off the net and then I'll get back to you.

Thanks for your assistance.

Re: I'm about to go

Hello guys,

I have checked the TP-Link connection and, as you can see, pppoe is default selected.

Re: I'm about to go

@Sidthree

Have you changed the Operations Mode to be "Wireless Router Mode"?

Remember as you are not using the modem part of the device since you are connecting to the ONT so you need to ensure the device knows that.

Re: I'm about to go

@Sidthree

So there wasn't a "Wireless Router Mode" option to select then?

Weird as that option appears on the TP-Link Archer VR600 emulator.

Do you have the latest firmware on the TP-Link?

Re: I'm about to go

Hi SpendLessTime,

What's really weird is my, apparent, inability to read people's posts correctly!

I misread your earlier post as make sure the Modem Router option is selected; what a twit.

I have seleted wireless router and it has worked. You're a star, nice one. Thanks.

@Sidthree

You're welcome. And to admit to initially doing the wrong thing but then correcting it, is helpful to anyone else who follows in your footsteps.

Re: I'm about to go

I'm with @SpendLessTime here.

Thanks @Sidthree for admitting how you fixed the problem.

It will no doubt help others who have been in the same situation as yourself and probably have done the same thing.

It makes a change reading posts where people say what they did to fix it, rather than disappear once everything is working and not say anything.
