Hi,i have Plusnet FTTP and was wondering how and what the steps are for porting my number to a VOIP provider,cancelling my  copper phone line and upgrading to 80/20

When you place an order with your VOIP provider to takeover your telephone number, we should receive notification of that order and the line should cease automatically.

It's worth noting that the cost of your broadband package will go up by £2.50 per month.

and upgrading to 80/20

I can arrange that for you. Are you wanting to upgrade before or after your phone line leaves us?

i'll look into the porting side later,as that seems to be automated.

one more question - if i port my number will i have to pay the line rental on the months i have left on my old contract ?

Yeah there'd be an early termination fee for the phone side of that contract.
