FTTP finally shows as available! - 120581951

My new build is finally showing that FTTP is available - address and ONT number in my question. Please can whoever is available sort out activation? (HarryB has been awesome about chasing things for me but I read in another post that he's off until Friday...)

Harry is indeed off until Friday.
I'm going to sort out the order now and ask one of my colleagues to contact you about the housemove/contract side of things asap.

Order placed and router dispatched, I've added some more details to the ticket too.

Just went to plug my existing router into the ONT and I don't think you're actually meant to be able to see the fibre?
I'm guessing this is the cause of the red light on LOS on my ONT?

That does not look good at all. This is how it should be

Yer, looks like after waiting for three weeks for Openreach to install the hardware, and then another week for everything in the ducting to get sorted out, the install of the hardware was bungled.
The optical cable was put there by the developer during the build (hence the paint on it...) but you would've thought that Openreach would test the cable before going ahead, and as all that I did was plug a cable in next to it and it fell apart, you would also think that when the cable was plugged in they would have noticed it wasn't quite right... So frustrating!  Angry

Managed to get someone from Openreach out yesterday afternoon and came home to a new cable end (plus an additional box on the wall?!) and a green light on my ONT. Set my router up this morning and all is good with my connection now. Cheesy
