Re: FTTP available on Plusnet?

I've been follwoing this debate with some interest, as I suffer from rediculously slow FTTC speeds - and before that even slower ADSL speeds.

Plus Net will have to adopt full scale FTTP services withing the next year or so as BTOpenreach are suspending the commisioning of new copper voice lines and retiring existing copper line services, including analogue telephone services by 2025

FTTP from BT reached most our rural Yorkshire idyll some 18 months ago, except for my particular road because part of the route to our property is not served by overhead cabling! I susect we will be last on the list.

@runhare

Short of an official announcement there are reasonable grounds to suspect PlusNet are launching a FTTP product in the Autumn along with a new router.

Have you checked recently to see if you've been upgraded? If the work relates to underground chambers they could have been and gone without you noticing. Also, make sure you (and any interested neighbours) register your interest in faster speeds with OpenReach.
