FTTC install complete

Yippee
Installed complete by a very nice BT man.  Advised he was getting approx 40Mb/s sync.
He arrived at cab 8:00, phoned me at 8;15 to advise he was about to work on my line and that the phone would shortly go off.  Knocked on my door about 8:30 and completed job at 8:58
*** current speeds are Down 0.91Mb/s - Up 7.89Mb/s  ***  Could do with Plusnet bumping my profile
So its looking like a 40 times speed increase for me  Grin

Re: FTTC install complete

Speed reset/update has occured without the need to reboot the modem.
According to speednet test I'm getting 34.19Mb/s down and 8,18Mb/s up with a ping of 13ms
Bt speedtest gives:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 31103 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 12000-38717 Kbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is -38717 Kbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 7699 Kbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 10000 Kbps
Pretty pleased with the results after years at 1Mbps.
Currently using the Plusnet supplied Router WNR1000.  I've previously used a Linksys WAG320N which allows you to set one of the ethernet ports as a WAN port , so i'm going to try it over the weekend see how it compares.
My thanks to Plusnet for letting me on the Trial.
