FTTC -- Speeds on Saturday morning and other times

Hi
up till now my fttc has been no problem, stable and good speeds, however I've noticed on occasions web pages have been very slow to load, and uploads under performing. Speeds (tested from www.speedtest.net) have been under 2Mb/s .....
                                                        down                      up

2/5/2011 9:59 AM GMT 0.68 Mb/s 4.31 Mb/s 51 ms Aberdeen ~ 400 mi
2/5/2011 9:59 AM GMT 2.09 Mb/s 7.67 Mb/s 30 ms London  < 50 mi

1/7/2011 6:32 PM GMT 30.04 Mb/s 7.93 Mb/s 29 ms London  < 50 mi
1/7/2011 6:30 PM GMT 1.39 Mb/s 1.65 Mb/s 62 ms London  < 50 mi
12/20/2010 5:20 PM GMT 30.64 Mb/s 3.39 Mb/s 53 ms London       < 50 mi
12/20/2010 5:19 PM GMT 20.24 Mb/s 3.90 Mb/s 63 ms London  < 50 mi
12/19/2010 1:48 PM GMT 7.43 Mb/s 5.99 Mb/s 39 ms London  < 50 mi
12/14/2010 5:00 PM GMT 31.46 Mb/s 6.98 Mb/s 32 ms Manchester ~ 150 mi
when installed the BT engineer test gear showed line as near 38Mb/s down and near to 10Mb/s up.
Is this a local problem or other?

Re: FTTC -- Speeds on Saturday morning and other times

Hi Alan - I had an identical issue during the same period (friday night to Saturday morning) which was resolved when I rebooted the Outreach box. Perhaps BT did something overnight on Friday.
Cheers.

thanks passer
i've done a reboot, but my speeds had recovered already, it maybe some sort of congestion problem.
