FTTC - Internet connection lost

Hi,
Been on the FTTC trial for a fee weeks, but tonight I've lost internet connection. All modem and router lights are green and fine but no Internet connection on ps3, mac or iPhone. I switched everything off for 30mins and tried again. Still nothing.
I'm in Derry, n.Ireland. Any help appreciated :-(

Re: FTTC - Internet connection lost

OK.  I'm currently on the 585v7, which seems ok, but when I restart it, it usually takes a couple of attempts to reconnect.  It's also recently taken to not reconnecting automatically after a reset.  So you could try opening your browser, and going to the router page (192.168.1.254 ).  You may need to login (if you haven't set a password it'll be user name "admin", and I think you just leave the password blank)
Check that the broadband connection heading is connected, and if not click on the connect button and wait ...
Failing that, click on the disconnect button and re-connect it.

John,
Thanks for the reply. Tried it, but it keeps giving me the error message: concentrator not reachable
Dies that make sense to you?

Re: FTTC - Internet connection lost

are you rebooting the openreach modem as well?
should not really make a diffrence but from what i read the way you power up the modem and your router seems to make a difference in the real world.
best to power down both and leave for abit and then power up the modem and then your router.
does the tr069 auto system work on fttc connections?

TR069 works on any connection that connects with @plusdsl.net with a compatible router.

Re: FTTC - Internet connection lost

Ben,
Still got problems, I updated the service down thread. Can't connect with thomson (getting concentrator unreachable message.
Can't connect with another Netgear router I have - keeps trying and trying but with no luck
Couldn't make a direct pppoe connection with my mac - says it can't locate the pppoe server.
Any thoughts?

Re: FTTC - Internet connection lost

I'm not trained to deal with any FTTC faults, but there are a couple of guys in the Faults Team who are. Please raise a fault via htttp://faults.plus.net then post back with your ticket number and I'll make sure it gets looked at asap.

Re: FTTC - Internet connection lost

Thanks Ben,
Is the ticket number a question number?
I phoned yesterday morning and have a question outstanding on my account - Question #35164194
Is this what you need?
