FTTC Day 1 - Slow Download (But Great Upload)

Just got FTTC installed this morning. BT engineer did a great job getting everything setup nice and quickly.
Initial visit to speedtest.net showed 1.1Mbps download (which is exactly that same as what I got on ADSL). Uploads look great through - anywhere between 6 - 8Mbps
Pingtime have dropped by a good 10 to 20 ms as well
Any ideas why the slow downloads? It's as though my plusnet account is capped...

I suspect your line will still be profiled at the old rate, which should pick up pretty soon.  Especially if Dave notices it and pokes the relevant pokey things.

Raised a ticket this morning, so hopefully will be fixed soon enough

Engineers have just finished my installation and i'm seeing the same as above, super fast ping and upload although download is still the same.....

And as i was typing my phone rang, Plusnet support on the line to say they have just seen my support ticket and have reprofiled my line and i should see the speed increase over the next couple of days

The support guys have just reprofiled my line, and wow, what a difference!...
