FTTC 1 week in - suddenly slow speed

I joined the trial last Wednesday, and up until 2 days a go was getting DL speed of 31M +. Since yesterday it's dropped dramatically to around 4-6M. Upload speed has remained more or less the same.
I opened a ticket 24 hours ago, but no response.
I don't live in an area that's listed as being afffected by the weather issues.
Any advice would be welcome.

There have been a fair few exchanges suffering from contention since FTTC has been introduced. The classic symptoms of this are heavily reduced download speeds and increased pings during busier periods whilst upload remains unaffected. I have had this fault for six weeks now and it's not unusual for me to have a much faster upload than my download speed. During non-peak periods service returns to normal.
BT have been working on the contention but unfortunately for me it hasn't resolved the issue. Ball is back in Plusnet's court although still awaiting a response since BT fixed their own end.

I've had no response to my ticket (#37548249) and no other replies here.
As I'm new, can someone tell me if I've posted this to the wrong board?

Looks like it's on the right board as one of us would have moved it by now
Staff shortages at PN due to the weather here in Sheffield have caused CSC some problems but I'm sure someone will get to you soon.
