End of the FTTP trial is nigh?

Hi
My brother spotted this <a href="http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/4806-bt-110mbps-fibre-broadband-to-early-launch-at-end-of-october.html" target="_blank">announcement</a> from BT.
Does this mean the Plusnet FTTP trail will be ending soon?
Cheers
Howard

I'll see if I can get our resident fibre trial expert Dave to comment on that.

Would be nice if Openreach pulled their finger out and dealt with those on Bradwell Abbey where they didn't include in the trial and look at connecting the rest of us stuck with less than 1mb...

Re: End of the FTTP trial is nigh?

Hi,
I've been off on holiday for the last week and a half so just picking things up. One of the things on my to do list this week is the FTTP trial, hopefully I'll be able to get back to you by the end of the week with some answers as to what's happening with the trial.

Re: End of the FTTP trial is nigh?

Hi Dave,
Hope you had a nice break.
While your asking when it ends can you see if
a) We can have our upload speeds increased ?
b) when a trial might be taking place for 300mb downloads

Thanks
Si

Re: End of the FTTP trial is nigh?

Been great thanks Smiley
The current FTTP product options are
downstream/upstream
40/2
40/10
100/15
110/15
100/30
There's no plans published to go faster than 30Mbps up at the moment although they are looking at 330Mbps down for next year. We'll keep you posted should we trial it.

Re: End of the FTTP trial is nigh?

Thanks for the update Dave, and welcome back.
So are those products something we can migrate to from our adsl products, If so what are the dowmload limits and can I get 110mbs, and how much is each respectively?
Thanks
