Re: Congestion in MK ?

You are currently connected to gateway pcl-ag01.
Speed tests down from wired PC, no other traffic. Been on this gateway for 40 odd days, no issues like this.

Re: Congestion in MK ?

BTW have repeatedly said they see no issues with capacity in MK - I disagree with them as I've begun to see signs again.
My Samknows box is showing a drop to around 65Mbps, but not below the 60Mbps threshold.

Re: Congestion in MK ?

Hop gateways, the few times I have had to gw hop for performance, by coincidence its pcl-ag01 I had to hop away from.

Re: Congestion in MK ?

Switched to ptn-ag04 and will see what happens tonight.
Ping times to speedtest.net and thinkbroadband are slightly lower post swap then just prior.
Pings to bbc.co.uk are the same.
So wait and see.

Re: Congestion in MK ?

What did your graph look like last night?
Mine was very strange:

I was out for most of the evening so the connection would have been idle.

Re: Congestion in MK ?

Football final whistle and Star Wars finished
TBB looking good

But the QM is showing a large number of dropped packet occurrences on this gateway "ptn-ag04". Was only getting 1 or 2 dropped packets a week on "pcl-ag01"

Re: Congestion in MK ?

Just changed gateway onto  pcl-ag02 to see if the dropped packets go away. ptn-ag04 was showing too many dropped packets overnight with zero usage.

Now wait to see if the situation improves.
Edit to add TBB and speedtest.net results post gateway change

Re: Congestion in MK ?

First time I've seen this on any gateway. Minimum latency increases when 2 or more devices on on-line at the same time.
Still on pcl-ag02

Re: Congestion in MK ?

Still on pcl-ag02 but since yesterday at 6:45am, the TTB QM now shows a constant minimum latency, use of the line is no longer increasing the minimum latency figure.
