Bradwell Abbey - Congestion Or Gateway Issue

Second night in a row and terrible speeds again. See thread "Bradwell Abbey - Constant packet Loss" for last night's speed test result.
Cannot stream 4OD without it pausing while some one is playing an on-line game.  Both machines using wired Ethernet adaptors.
So stopped the game and TV streaming and tried the speedtests.
Tonight:-

Had to do the BTW test twice to get the further diagnostics to work. At 21:15, BTW shows 65.86/19.62 and 25.13ms ping time.
Further diagnostics shows:-
"Download speed achieved during the test was - 65.86 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-87.77 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 87.77 Mbps"

The thing is, exactly 1 year ago, these were the first symptoms of a 3 month plus issue.
The next symptom is does the speed go to under 10Mbps download and stay there for hours? Only time will tell.

Re: Bradwell Abbey - Congestion ?

Out of interest, have you tried changing gateways (disconnect/reconnect) to see if that makes any difference?
I think all the Bradwell Abbey SVLANs are showing as fine in the latest report with no capacity issues.

Re: Bradwell Abbey - Congestion ?

@AndyH
Just changed from gateway ptn-ag04  to ptn-bng01.
Reran the TB speedtest:-

Will see how it goes tomorrow night.
The slow speeds seem to start when approaching 8pm and I have been checking the speed between 8:30 and 9:00.
That gateway(ptn-ag04) has been fine up until yesterday night.
Also I did see the Openreach van at the fibre point at the bottom of the street on Monday. And Openreach do seem to be back putting in more fttp lines, just like last year. I might be being paranoid but this was how it started last time. Engineering works in the street and the exchange for new fttp lines.

Re: Bradwell Abbey - Congestion ?

Good results tonight

BT Results at 9pm were  73.71/19.53 and 18.75ms. Further diagnostics failed with a Java exception.
Still on gateway ptn-bng01.
Looking like a gateway swap solved the issue.
