BT router compatible?

If I've got it right, there's only one Ethernet socket on the supplied equipment with which to connect my computer so, if I was accepted onto the trial, would my BT2700HGV router be able to distribute the connection around my home using wireless and Ethernet?

Re: BT router compatible?

Hi,
That's the 2wire business hub isn't it? I've got one of those but not using it. I don't think you can use it unless there's a way of converting one of the LAN ports to be a WAN port like we've done with the Thomson 585v7.

Re: BT router compatible?

I've got a few of those and I'm afraid Dave's right, there's no way to use it as a router using any of its LAN ports. It is possible to use it as just an ethernet switch and Wireless AP by disabling its DHCP function and then connecting one of the LAN ports to an existing router.
