BT adds 114 new exchanges to FTTC and up to 80Mbps next year

My attainable rate has gone up within the last few days, now reporting just short of 80000 down & 33000 up (was previously 40000 down 18000 up), I assume BT are upgrading all the cabinets to the higher profile.
I'm ready to go if any trial happens (please)

How did you get that info? From BT's line checker or somewhere else as I'm surprised your up before was > 10? BT's checker gives me 31.9 down and 10 up. I get slightly better down than that but obviously can't beat 10 up as that's the cap.

Also probably a bit late in noticing but i'd take part also if you need any more trialists for the 80meg FTTC.
I'm on the Bangor (Northern Ireland) exchange getting 35 Mb down and 10Mb  up. Ta.

i see this thread getting longer and longer.. so im in too b4 its gets too late.
im on 38 mb down on a clear night and 1.6 up..
peak times im down as far as 15mb
i have peaked at 42mb , however that was early early morning.
im waffling on here ..
put me name down anyway

Hi,
We'll be publishing the details of the 80Mbps trial at the beginning of next month. It's too late now for anyone else to take part in the January trial unfortunately but we will be opening the trial up to more people in February.
I'll send tickets to the people that have been selected for the January trial after the holidays. We have limited exchange coverage in January so unfortunately not everyone that has applied so far will be able to take part in January. The rest of the exchanges are due to be added in February. If you don't receive a ticket from me then unfortunately your exchange isn't being included in January.

Probably too late also but I would love to be part of the second wave of trials in feb ( it would be really interesting to compare my experiences as I was part of the original Fttc trial).

I would like to be considered for the FTTC 80meg trial. I currently work for Openreach and my original FTTC trial contract is due to end in January. I will continue to use plusnet in the future as I have found their customer service exceptional. Hope you all have a great new year

At some stage I too would like to take part in the 80Mbps trials. Currently getting 34Mbps down and 7Mbps up which, in recent weeks, is about 4Mbps faster download speed than previously.

I have come across the following list of exchanges that are meant to be in the initial trial in case anyone else is interested.  I don't know if it is accurate:

Just wow if that list of exchanges is correct.  There's not a single exchange in Scotland marked for the trial.  Can't say I'm surprised, but it's a bit odd.
