80 20 trialists - please read this

Hi all,
We'd appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to fill in this to give us feedback of the 80/20 trial and your experience of it:
http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22FTH92AFJS
It'll only take a few minutes and the feedback will be invaluable to us when we come to design new products and choose the hardware to go with them.
FYI some of you may also receive an email regarding this but that doesn't mean we're asking you to fill it out more than once.
Thanks for the time, co-operation and feedback some of you have put into this.

Re: 80 20 trialists - please read this

Filled my survey in. I didn't have a TG582n Router (or whatever the exact model is) but it would have inconvenienced me if I had lost an Ethernet port. I also said I didn't want to pay for the higher speed but that's mainly because my speed increase over the 40/10 product I had before was not huge. I might pay more if I got lots more speed, but I'd also expect a bandwidth increase to match.

Re: 80 20 trialists - please read this

Did mine after receiving email. I said I wouldn't pay more as my speed wasn't much more than the 40/2 product which I'd had.

Re: 80 20 trialists - please read this

Done.
I also wouldn't pay extra. That is because although I can get the connection to run at close to top speeds, my router/wireless can't deliver much more than 40/10 to where I can use it i.e. 80/20 is more than I can actually benefit from. I suspect this will be true for many others in practice.  But I think you'll need an 80/20 product as otherwise you'll look noncompetitive against BT et al.
I also get internet slowdowns, almost freezes, on 80/20 that I never had on 40/2. This too could be a router issue.
My ideal product would be 40/10 with an 80GB/month usage allowance, at the same price as the current 40/2 and 40GB/month. Then I could bin the Extra and buy Pro instead!
Many thanks for allowing me onto the trial.

Re: 80 20 trialists - please read this

I notice frequent mention of a 40/2 Trial. I was on 40/10  until I changed to the 80/20 Trial. I am unlikely to keep the 80/20 when the time comes for a decision as the increase in speed has been insignificant. I would like to think I could recover the 10 Mbps speed of old and not decline to 2 Mbps. Could this be clarified please?

Done.
I stated I would be happy to pay an extra £5 per month seeing as I get 76meg.
I can fully understand it not being viable for many people especially if you are only getting a few meg more than the 40/2 service.

Re: 80 20 trialists - please read this

I'd agree there. i only went to 50/11 so if there is any extra charge, it simply isn't worth it for me. The speed really only comes into it for downloading so I am more than willing to wait a few more minutes for things to arrive.
Latency and uploads are more important to me so the 40/10 will suffice. That being said, I think the allowance is a bit too low as I'm constantly policing it at the moment.

Re: 80 20 trialists - please read this

Not much change for me I'm afraid, in fact I have to ask the question - "Am I still on the trials or have I now been taken off" - I've not noticed any difference.
Got a great speed directly connected to Cable Modem - 71/19 - But once router(s) were installed and wireless added (I have no option but to use wireless)
I am only getting round about 25/14 - and yes upload speed does seem excessive when compared to download speed. Cry
