Re: [FTTC] 80/20 Trial - First day

Looking at your line profile, the throughput is pretty close to what can be expected. Your line currently has a profile of 58.9Mb so I don't think you'll see much higher download speeds.

Re: [FTTC] 80/20 Trial - First day

Second Day - Very Impressed
http://speedtest.net/result/1861624251.png
Well ive just connected the Zyxel and the speeds are pretty much the same as earlier (wifi connection)
Zyxel was very easy to setup and ive found the wifi signal is excellant around the home, pc upstairs connted to it is showing 300mb and a speed test carried out upstairs conneced via wifi was excellant same as the wired connection above
Overall very impressed with the Zyxel shame i cant get the full 80mb but who would complain as few weeks back i was getting 8mb via adsl

Any idea how far you are from your cabinet?
Your speeds are very similar to mine and I'd be interested to know if you are similar distance.

The cabinet is at the top of my road id say approx 1/4 of a mile to 1/2 a mile

Thanks,
I recon I'm a bit less than 1/4 mile but I'd need to try to measure it a bit more accurately.

You can use Google to calculate the route by road or walkjogrun.net to trace a route to your cabinet, of course this means a bit of guess work as to what route your line takes.

You are not alone.  I have had problems with BT's speedtester recently too.
