weird speed results

just got connected to fibre
on 80Mb account
router reports 41mb d/l  &  19.53 u/l
speedtest 2.82mb d/l  18.75mb u/l
upload speed about right but what's with the download speed, it's about  ???what I was getting on adsl connection

Can you test it in the next 15 minutes?

now getting 39.03 d/l    18.70 u/l
better but still pretty low, only 50m from cabinet should be getting 70+mb

Looks like your connection is in sync at 42Mbps down and 20Mbps up.
Testing the line has also come back with the following result:

Been in touch with BT, difficult as it turns out I actually have no phone service (problem with the line), they're sending an engineer on 01/04, too much of a coincidence to think that it's anything else but a wiring problem at the cabinet, after all there were only three engineers there doing the work

Hopefully your speed bounces back shortly after that's fixed, but if not please do let us know so we can look in to it further

Just had Bt engineer on the phone fault fixed, router showing 78Mb d/l, speedtest still showing 39Mb, can someone give it a nudge, thanx

OK 73.5 d/l 18.7 u/l , sorted thank you so much, ps. it was a broken wire at the cabinet
