very slowfibre broadband connection after moving home

I moved my internet connection nearly 2 weeks ago and it has been incredibly slow since. I was initially moving the connection in March but this got delayed by coronavirus. Back in March I was told the connection at my new address would be poorer on the package I was on and I opted to go for a fibre broadband deal (and was told to expect a speed of between 32 and 40 mbps), but I am currently ranging between 2 and 6 on a good day. Did my order get downgraded following the coronavirus induced delay? Or is fibre broadband just not working well? On top of this the connection ha completely dropped out several ties over the last 2 weeks.
