Re: upgrading to 80/40

Hello Smiley
Welcome to disappointed club.
I was quoted 16 - 23 Mbps down and 1.5 - 2 Mbps up.
With the BT Open reach modem and plusnet router i got 12 down and 1 up.
I had to spend another £60 on a Billion VDSL unit which has increased my download  to 17 Mbps. Upload is still just under 1Mbps.
I asked plusnet for help and got fobbed off with "its in the acceptable range"
good luck getting it sorted .

Re: upgrading to 80/40

@sutty1986
Run the BTw Performance test (DON'T REBOOT, ignore the red preamble except make sure no other programs are using the Internet, use an ethernet connection) and at the end of the first run, click the Further Diagnostics button, enter just your Phone number and Run the Further Diagnostics Test.
Do a Copy and Paste of the results and post here (no need to grab an image).
Check your Current Line speed (Login required). Don't post your phone number.
Also put your number into this and copy and paste the results, but redact your phone number.
PS. 80/40 doesn't exist, it's 80/20  Wink

Re: upgrading to 80/40

Both of you, I assume you had engineer visits and both have the Mk3 vDSL SSFP fitted to your NTE5a and your modems are plugged by their original short leads into the modem socket on the vDSL plate.
@CBR600
Have you got the latest firmware on the Billion to make sure it's compatible with G.INP?

Re: upgrading to 80/40

Your line is synced at the full 80/20 however for some reason the profile is set incorrectly on the wholesale side.
I've rejected the clear on the fault, meaning that I've pushed it back to BTWholesale for more investigation.

@sutty1986
Your fault is with our faults team and you should have a response by the end of play today.
@CBR600
Unfortunately you are in the middle of the estimated range for your speeds (22.7 to 16.1) so we wouldn't be able to raise this as a fault.

Re: upgrading to 80/40

Hi Mathew
My upload has dropped from 1.2 Mbps to 0.83 Mbps.
I rely on the upload when working from home and at this rate it will back to my ADSL days.
Anything you can do to help ?
Thanks

Re: upgrading to 80/40

Plusnet closed it themselves I have been away on Holiday, the speeds have got slightly better since buying a new router as the one provided was poor at the best of times.
Max speed ive have is 55 but its a rarity

Re: upgrading to 80/40

Hi there,
The ticket is still open, however the fault we raised to BTWholesale timed out as we didn't receive an update from you (as you were on holiday). Can you reply confirming that you tried the speedtests we asked for on the last reply we made so we can see what the next steps are.
