unlimited fibre extra speed not increased

hi, after upgrading to fibre extra a few months ago my speeds are the same as i was getting before the upgrade.

i was wondering if i have been switched over correctly?

i am usually around the 36mbps but feel i should be high 40s low 50s ish

could someone check this for me please

What does it say here? If you were getting only 36Mb before the upgrade I doubt if you will see a speed increase i.e. on a 40Mb connection I'd expect to be very near to 40Mb. Upgrading to fibre extra doesn't magically give you a line that will give you more than it is actually capable of delivering. But do check the link. It will reveal all. .

Observed speed for the 1st of April shows 39.9 which the max for Fibre Unlimited so it looks like the switch to Extra didn't happen, one for Plusnet staff to look into.

Good news and bad.

I've placed an order to move you to 80/20.

Your current snyc rate is 40Mbit but you were actually provisioned on 55/10.

A new order has been placed and should complete tomorrow. Please check back on your sync rate and let us know if you have further problems. If you are still syncing at 40Mbit, we'll probably need to raise this, but it won't be looked at quickly as we're prioritising those without connections at the moment.

You can find your exact sync rate by logging into your router here and then clicking on the 'Helpdesk' section

Alternatively you can carry out a speed test which will give you a rough idea of if your speeds have improved

@simeskyline75  A speed test is not the correct way to check your actual connection speed. There are many factors that can affect broadband speed tests, they all seem to give different results! The router that you are using will be able to show you the sync speed. You just need to know how to log into it and find the required information. How about reading the manual or searching online for the correct instructions. If you say what router it is someone on the forum will be able to help.😁
