Re: there is no speed estimate currently held on your account

Hello there. Sorry that the speed estimate checker is not working on your account. It appears to be working on our side. I've checked the estimate, which is between 78.8 Mb and 60.2 Mb. If you would like to check your speed estimate yourself, please visit http://dslchecker.bt.com/ and type in your home phone number for an accurate estimation.
Hope this helps

Re: there is no speed estimate currently held on your account

Sorry to butt in but for me that gives 40 to 13.1 Mb so not really an estimate just a range of possible to possible low for the whole area of the cabinet I presume.
( I like the FTTP of 330 Mb.)

Re: there is no speed estimate currently held on your account

Hello dnpark38. If you type your home phone number into the BT Broadband Availability Checker, this will provide your estimate for your line only. If your sync speed drops below the minimum value of the "clean" range, then there is a fault. For reference, the 'impacted" will come into play if a BT engineer advises us that the line is impacted.
Regarding FTTP (unless it's On Demand), we are trialling it in some areas. If you would like to find out more information, please click on the following link to raise a question to our provisioning team.

What I thought FTTP meant was Fibre to the Pole the equipment being placed at the top of the street pole that supplies several houses the last few metres of overhead wire being copper.  So what is your name for that please?
I can see Fibre to the Premises being good for businesses or a building with multiple customers but nor economic for domestic households.
The OR engineer I was chatting to who on Friday was working on my pole certainly was thinking FTTP was equipment at top of the Pole.  ( He was changing a neighbours pair over as the one in use was faulty.)

Hello. It sounds like you're referring to Fibre To The distribution Point (FTTdP), also known as G.FAST. We aren't currently offering this service and as far as I am aware we don't have any plans as of yet.
